“The Eagles Whistle” is a traditional Irish folk tune associated with the O’Donovan Clan and dates back over 300 years. This simple yet beautiful melody is commonly played in sessions today as a 3/4 march.  Patrick and I have arranged two unique versions of the tune. The first is a contemporary folk arrangement that preserves the tune’s traditional roots, while the second is a cinematic, folk/post-rock fusion that treats the melody more as an air and really captures the sense of a soaring Eagle in flight.

It took us some time to prepare these two versions for release, but we’re proud of the results. The distinctiveness of each version highlights the enduring strength and adaptability of the original tune.  We hope you will enjoy both!
