I couldn’t get the image of a rider bounding thought the countryside out of my head as I was composing this piece, so The Knight Errant seemed like the perfect title.  The Knight Errant is a theme deeply rooted in medieval literature and folklore, and refers to a knight who wanders the land in search of adventures, often to prove his chivalry and honor. A concept that was popularized in medieval romance literature, especially in the Arthurian legends. I’m sure the reality of these wandering Knights was quite a different story.  I hope this Celtic Neo-Medieval instrumental will canter boldly into your ears and ride off with your imagination!
