Sally’s Song

Sally’s Song marks the third collaboration with the amazing cellist Roxane Genot. It is our instrumental arrangement of a song by Danny Elfman from the stop motion film ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ which celebrated it’s 30th anniversary this year.

I remember being in the cinema watching the film in awe. Sally’s Song was a real standout moment for me personally, not just because the tune was so beguiling, but because the animation was so beautiful, nuanced, and well observed. I have long wanted to cover this wonderful melody, and when I found out it was a favorite of Roxane’s too, we had to make it happen! So this our little tribute to the film, and all the talent people that made it possible. Written by Danny Elfman.  Arranged/Performed by Philleann & Roxane Genot.
